Red ribbon club is a movement by the Govrnment of India in educational Institutions through which students will be making awareness of AIDS.Through RRC youth are encouraged to learn about safe and healthy lifestyles. The RRC promotes access to information on safe sexual behaviors and voluntary blood donation as well as enable them to become change agents in HIV & AIDS programme.
Year 2011-2012
“Celebrating Life “an orientation program was conducted as part of the Red Ribbon Club activities of CARE School of Engineering on 15.03.2012 at 10.30 am. The program was presided over by Dr. C.C. Christopher Dean – School of Engineering, Dr. S. Ramanathan Dean – School of Business Management & Dr. A.K. Santra, Dean – School of Computer Applications felicitated the gathering. Mr. R. Jesariya Mary, RRC District Manager was chief guest for the function. She was accompanied by Mrs. D. John Mary, ICTC Counselor & Mrs. A. Tamil who gave on awareness about AIDS to the audience. The program ended at 12.15 pm with the National Anthem. The gathering was welcomed by Mr. S. K. Prasanna Venkatesh of II-year Mechanical, vote of thanks by Ms. S. Vinothini of III-year Civil. The function was organised by Co coordinators Mr. S. Sivamani & Mr. R. Vasudevan. 
Four of our I-year students E.Durai Dilip Kumar(ECE) , K.Thamimmul Ansari(ECE), A.Dhinesh Kumar(Mechanical),K.Manikandan(Mechanical) have donated their blood to save the life of an ailing patient on 9.4.2012. We, at CARE family, from bottom of our heart congratulate and appreciate their gesture and timely help. On 12.4.2012 Red ribbon club conducted a intra college Rangoli competitions title on Blood donations.
The Red Ribbon Club of CARE School of Engineering in collaboration with Victory Blood Bank, Trichy organized a blood donation camp on 8.5.12 in the CARE College Premises. The Camp was inaugurated by Dr. C.C. Christopher Dean – School of Engineering, Dr. S. Ramanathan Dean – School of Business Management & Dr. A.K. Santra, Dean – School of Computer Applications. Totally 87 students and 11 staff members donated their blood. The camp to an end with a valedictory function, in which, Certificates were awarded for those who donated blood and prizes were given for those who won in the RRC competitions. Mr. S. Sivamani, Asst. prof. , Mathematics and Mr. R. Vasudevan, Physical Director organized the camp.

Red ribbon club was inaugurated at CARE group of institutions on 11 th febraury, by 3.45 pm
.The gathering was welcomed by Mr.S.K .Prasanna venkatesh of I-year mechanical student followed by a General report about RRC by Ms.Tharani of II-year civil student.Dr.S.Padmanaba,director of the Institutions gave the Presidential address.Dr.A.K.Santra,Dean,CARE School of Computer Applications and Dr.K.Murugumohan kumar,Dean,CARE school of Engineering felicitated the function.The chief guest of the day Mrs.jesaria Mary,District RRC Manager Inaugurated the club and gave a valuable informative speech about RRC.The function came to an end with a vote of thanks by Mr.Halith,II-year Mechanical student.The function was organised by Co ordinators Mr.S.Sivamani ,Department of Mathematics, Mr.R.Vasudevan,Department of Physical education and Special Operating Officer Mr.B.Muthukrishnan .
